Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Actress Vibhuti Thakur: Behind the Glamour, The Entertainment Industry Is All About Hard Work

Creating an episode every day is no easy task. A large, synchronised unit, timed shots, and navigating the chaos on set — ironically, this is what makes the set come alive. Vibhuti Thakur, who plays Shivani Poddar on Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, describes her typical day as a blend of long hours, numerous activities, and moments of exhaustion. But it’s her love for acting that drives her to keep going. Vibhuti Thakur explains, “The entertainment industry might look glamorous, but behind the scenes, it’s pure hard work. Between makeup, costumes, rehearsals, and long shooting hours, it can get tiring. But when the day ends, there’s a deep sense of achievement and satisfaction.”

For Vibhuti Thakur, the creative process and the chaos that comes with it is something she enjoys. She calls it “a method to madness,” adding, “The excitement of breathing life into a character and contributing to a storyline is what keeps me motivated every day.”

Discussing the significance of a positive work environment, the actress emphasizes that working with like-minded individuals makes the set more productive. She says, “A healthy atmosphere boosts creativity and helps us tackle challenges together.”

Vibhuti Thakur also highlights the importance of good chemistry with co-stars to deliver believable performances. “On-screen chemistry is crucial for making a scene feel real. Our audience is sharp — they can tell if the actors share a genuine connection. A relaxed and friendly off-screen bond makes it easier to bring authenticity to our performances.”

Vibhuti Thakur credits Rajan Shahi and Director’s Kut Productions for maintaining open communication with actors, which she believes enhances their performance. “When we’re clear on our roles and what’s expected of us, we can come prepared. It creates a stress-free environment, allowing us to focus on giving our best,” she says.

When it comes to the television industry, Vibhuti Thakur believes TV shows continue to be the audience’s source of comfort. “In today’s fast-paced world, TV shows offer much-needed escapism. People connect emotionally with our characters and stories, forming strong bonds with the narratives we bring to life,” she concludes.
