Pooja Banerjee On Her Second Pregnancy: This Time, I’m More Relaxed And Bindaas

All set to embrace motherhood for the second time with her baby due in June, Pooja Banerjee shares how this phase feels completely different from her first experience.

Pooja Banerjee, known for her powerful performances in shows like , is set to become a mother for the second time, with her due date in June. The actress, who first embraced motherhood in March 2022 when she welcomed her daughter Sana, is now anticipating the arrival of her second child. As she stands at the threshold of expanding her family, we can’t help but wonder how her perspective on motherhood has evolved.
Reflecting on her journey, Pooja Banerjee shares, “This time, I can say I’m more relaxed and bindaas because I’ve gone through it before. I know what to expect, physically and emotionally. I’m being gentler and calmer this time around. Actually, ‘calmer’ would be an understatement. I’d say I’m way more ‘bindaas’ now. With my second pregnancy, I feel more at ease.”
Although eagerly awaiting the arrival of her second child, she admits that she wishes time would slow down just a little bit. With her hands full as a mother, entrepreneur, and professional, she finds it hard to catch a breath. The actress, who has appeared in shows like Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kumkum Bhagya, says, “I’m really looking forward to the arrival of my second one. This pregnancy has been completely different — from working to managing my health, and, of course, raising my firstborn. My hands are so full! Even when I get a moment to relax, there’s always something to do — preparing food for my daughter, her schoolwork. I’ve also started my own studio, and that demands a lot of time and energy. If I’m honest, I wish I had more time to just pause and soak in this phase. The days are flying by so quickly.”
With her firstborn already bringing so much joy to her life and the excitement building for her new addition, she’s noticed how much her perspective has shifted since her first Mother’s Day. “When I first became a mother with Sana, it was a big deal — I cut a cake, and my husband made sure it was extra special. My mother and mother-in-law also made it memorable. But now, with my due date so close, I just want to take it easy and do absolutely nothing. Compared to three years ago, I’m much more tired this year,” she admits with a smile.
Pooja, who married Sandeep Sejwal, a professional Indian swimmer in 2017, has certainly found balance between motherhood, work, and personal life. As she prepares to welcome her second child, her journey is one of growth, love, and joy — but also a reminder that every phase of motherhood comes with its own set of challenges and rewards.
