Deepika Singh: I Try To Give Every Frame My Best Whether I Have A Dialogue Or Not

What are the key factors behind Deepika Singh’s longevity in the television industry? The actress, who currently plays the titular role in Mangal Lakshmi, believes it’s her unwavering passion and first-day-like dedication to her craft that have helped her stay relevant and successful over the years.

In an industry where it’s easy to fade into the background, Deepika Singh continues to shine brightly. Best known for her impactful role as Sandhya in Diya Aur Baati Hum, the actress maintained her relevance and consistency over the years and now winning hearts as Mangal in Mangal Lakshmi, alongside Naman Shaw.

Ask her what keeps her going and constantly in the reckoning, and her answer is rooted in discipline and dedication. Deepika Singh says, “I think it’s my positive mindset and never-give-up attitude. I never take any shot for granted. Whether it’s the first day or the last day of a shoot, my energy remains the same. In fact, during the final episode of Diya Aur Baati Hum, my energy level was even higher than on day one. I try to give every frame my best, whether I have a dialogue or not.”

Deepika Singh believes her strength lies in the homework she does before stepping onto the set. “I never arrive unprepared. Even if I don’t have lines in a scene, I study the screenplay and build my character with as much sincerity as I would for a monologue. What happens behind the camera is just as important as what plays out in front of it,” she explains.

The actress has faced phases where her screen presence wasn’t bolstered by dialogues, but her passion never wavered. Deepika Singh says, “There were times when I didn’t have any dialogues for a few scenes. Many actors start to feel sidelined in such situations, but I never let that get to me. Dialogue or no dialogue, I love acting. I perform with the same dedication either way.”

For Deepika Singh , the role she takes on certainly matters — but it’s her unwavering enthusiasm that truly sets her apart. “Yes, the character is important, but what has really worked for me is the sense of responsibility I bring to my craft. I treat every shot like it’s my first. I remind myself — I’m Deepika, a girl from Delhi who needs work and loves what she does,” she ends with a smile.
