Deepak Paramesh: The Big Screen Is Pure Magic

Deepak Paramesh opens up about his love for the big screen, the evolving cinematic landscape, and the kind of roles that drive him.

As audiences return to theatres, he shares why this is an exciting time to be an actor.

For actor Deepak Paramesh, few things compare to the joy of watching himself on the big screen. Having last appeared in Ground Zero alongside Emraan Hashmi, the actor is elated to see audiences returning to theatres in large numbers.

The Magic of Theatrical Releases; Big Screen, Big Emotions

With films like Metro…In Dino and Saiyaara performing well at the box office, Deepak believes that the cinema hall remains the heart of true film-watching experiences.

“The big screen is pure magic, it’s where true cinema comes alive and creates a deep emotional bond with the audience,” he says, adding, “Films releasing in theatres will always be my first choice. That’s where the dream first took shape.”

Sharing his views on what draws audiences today, Deepak observes a clear trend. He notes, “People go to theatres for big, immersive experiences, action, drama, thrillers, and grand visuals. But the genre that always works is emotional stories with strong characters and mass appeal. If it connects to the heart and entertains, it usually hits the mark,” he explains.

A Personal Reflection on Memorable Work

The Film That Stayed With Him

On a personal note, he reflects on the work that has stayed with him. He says, “Honestly, I wish I could be a part of every film I’ve truly enjoyed watching. Among the projects I’ve done, Mercury holds a special place in my heart. It was a true learning experience that taught me what it means to prepare deeply for a role and respect the process of filmmaking.”
