Police Giri and Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana actress and poetess Kavitta Verma is a dog mom. She recently got herself a Toy Pom and has named him Angel. She said, “My and Angel’s journey started at a point when I was desperately craving dog cuddles.”
“I wanted a toy poodle, and then I met this guy Harsh who persuaded me to just come and see a few puppies he had. I couldn’t resist this naughty little bundle, and that’s how Angel came into my life and moved in with me. Our bond is pure love and harmony,” she added.
She shared that the name Angel came straight from her soul and added, “Angel walked into my life when I needed unconditional love, so the only word that truly resonated with me was Angel.”
As excited and happy as she is to have Angel in her life, even Angel showers her with the same love. While she is away for work, he waits patiently for her and welcomes her with love and hugs.
Kavitta said, “Angel waits for me, looking at the door. He’s very intelligent and independent, and those dove-like eyes of his can melt anyone’s heart. He follows me everywhere around the house, and his ‘me time’ is usually spent sleeping under the sofa.”
“I always tell him before leaving home, and he seems to understand. The best feeling is knowing that someone is waiting for you at home. Thankfully, Angel isn’t a very demanding pet, so managing my schedule with him is never an issue,” she added.
She mentioned that her life has changed since the day Angel walked in, and she said, “Having a pet makes you more humble and helps you understand yourself better as a human being. His sparkling eyes whenever we’re heading out for our coffee dates! He’s so tiny and fluffy that he instantly becomes the star attraction wherever we go.”
She also stressed that pets have an emotional and therapeutic impact on their owners. “Pets should be mandatory in every home. They transform your emotional self and make you more compassionate, helping you see your flaws and deal with life with greater love and understanding,” Kavitta ended.
