Mansi Srivastava On The Ensemble Cast Of Lakshmi Niwas: No One Feels Left Out Here

Mansi Srivastava On The Ensemble Cast Of Lakshmi Niwas: No One Feels Left Out Here

Lakshmi Niwas is a family drama that weaves together multiple individual stories under one roof, ensuring each character has emotional depth and narrative significance.

The show highlights relationships, conflicts, and personal journeys within a large household.

Handling an ensemble cast is never easy. When multiple characters share the screen, it often becomes challenging to give each of them enough emotional depth and narrative space. However, Lakshmi Niwas stands out by ensuring that every character has a voice — and for Mansi Srivastava, that balance has translated into a role she finds both fulfilling and reassuring.

Speaking about being part of an ensemble once again, Mansi Srivastava shared that she is no stranger to large casts and layered storytelling. Having worked in similar setups earlier, she feels prepared and confident navigating such spaces.

Mansi Srivastava On Lakshmi Niwas: I Was Craving To Play A Positive Character

Mansi Srivastava said, “I’ve done ensemble shows before, so I understand how it works in a big family setting. What excited me here is that Revathy is very different from anything I’ve played recently. It’s a positive character that I’m doing after many years, and I finally got something that truly suits me. I can relate to her in many ways.”

Mansi Srivastava went on to explain that her sense of comfort on the show comes from how clearly her character is placed within the narrative. Rather than feeling lost in the crowd, she feels secure about Revathy’s importance in the story.

She shared, “I feel very comfortable and secure because Revathy is an important part of the storyline. Every character in this show has their own arc, so no one feels left out or underutilises. The audience will see Revathy in almost every episode — she’s almost like a narrator in the show — and that makes me very confident.”

What further strengthens her connection to Lakshmi Niwas is the range of relationships her character gets to explore. From her dynamic with her husband, played by Hemant Thatte, to her bond with her saasu maa, played by Manasi Joshi Roy, Mansi Srivastava feels the role offers emotional variety.

She said, “No character is treated as secondary — everyone gets their moment to shine. Revathy, especially, is very secure as a character. I’m part of almost every scene and have strong tracks with my on-screen husband as well as my mother-in-law.”
