For Saajan Ghar Megha Sharma, fame may come with recognition and admiration, but it also brings the challenge of maintaining a clear line between public image and personal identity.
“Fame definitely creates a certain image of you,” she says, adding that she makes a conscious effort to keep her private life untouched by it. “What people see on screen is just one part of me — the performer,” Megha Sharma explains. She adds that off screen, she is simply a daughter, a mother, and a wife who values simple, real moments. “That balance is very important, otherwise you can easily get lost in expectations,” Megha Sharma says.

Megha Sharma admits that people often assume they know her because of her on-screen presence. “Yes, that happens a lot,” she says. She adds that while audiences connect with the characters she plays, they sometimes भूल the difference between reel and real. “An actor plays many characters, but none of them fully define who they are in real life,” she explains. According to her, there is always a deeper, more personal side that only close ones truly understand.
Talking about how fame has shaped her, Megha Sharma says it hasn’t changed who she is at her core. “It has made me more aware and responsible,” she says. She adds that being in the public eye teaches you to be mindful of your actions and words. At the same time, she has learned to protect her peace. “I don’t let every opinion affect me,” she says firmly.
In an industry where opinions can change overnight, she believes staying grounded comes from within. “It’s about strong roots — family, values, and self-awareness,” Megha Sharma says. She adds that reminding herself of her purpose helps her stay connected to her true identity.
