Known for her memorable performances in popular television shows like Shararat, Ba Bahoo Aur Baby, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, Saas Bina Sasural, Bhakharwadi and Ziddi Dil Maane Na, actress Simple Kaul says chocolates have always held a special place in her heart. Simple Kaul Reveals Why Chocolates Were Her Biggest Childhood Weakness

Recalling how easily chocolates could convince her to do almost anything as a child, Simple Kaul laughs, “If there was anything someone wanted me to do and I was being adamant about not doing it, all they had to do was bribe me with a chocolate. That was enough to make me give in and follow the rules.”

Simple Kaul believes the love for chocolate is almost universal. “Well, who isn’t a chocolate person? I think everybody is. Everyone loves chocolates. It could be dark chocolate or milk chocolate. Personally, I’m very fond of dark chocolate, not the extremely bitter kind, but a nice, decently dark one.”

The actress says she enjoys experimenting with different varieties rather than sticking to just one flavour. “I also love chocolates with nuts. Fruit and Nut is an absolute killer. And I think some of the Dubai chocolates are outstanding. For me, a good chocolate should have variety. That’s what makes it exciting.”

For Simple Kaul, chocolates aren’t just about satisfying a sweet craving. They’re deeply connected to some of her happiest childhood memories.

“Yes, definitely. I have great memories of enjoying Five Star and Gems. I know Gems are candy coated chocolates, but they still count!” Simple Kaul says with a smile.

Simple Kaul adds that certain treats instantly transport her back to her growing up years. “I think everyone has fond memories of Five Star, Cadbury Eclairs and Nutties. Those chocolates were a big part of growing up. Even today, when I see them, they bring back so many beautiful memories.”

While food trends and gourmet desserts continue to evolve, Simple Kaul believes nothing can replace the joy attached to childhood favourites. For her, every bite of chocolate carries a little nostalgia, reminding her of carefree days, simple pleasures and the sweetest moments of growing up.
