Aadesh Chaudhary Reflects on Theatre, Television Success and His Journey as an Actor
Television actor Aadesh Chaudhary, who has been a part of several memorable shows including Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Sasural Simar Ka, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Doli Armaano Ki and Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, believes that the true measure of an actor’s success lies in the emotional connection they create with audiences.
Looking back at his journey from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, to becoming a familiar face on Indian television, Aadesh says every milestone has been built on hard work, patience and a genuine love for acting.
Reflecting on his early days in the industry, Aadesh Chaudhary said, I come from a small town in Uttar Pradesh, Aligarh, and when I first came to Mumbai, I did not know anyone.
Like every newcomer, I had dreams but no connections. I consider myself extremely fortunate that I got the opportunity to work with the legendary Kader Khan saab in theatre.
I spent nearly three years performing plays with him, and those years shaped me as an actor.

Theatre gave me discipline, confidence and the understanding that acting is not just about delivering dialogues but about living every emotion truthfully. That phase became the strongest foundation of my career.
The actor also spoke about the invaluable lessons theatre taught him and how different the experience is from working in television.
Theatre is a completely different world because there are no retakes. You rehearse for weeks, sometimes even months, before stepping onto the stage. Once the curtain rises, you have only one chance to perform.
You have to project your voice, stay completely immersed in the character and hold the audience’s attention from beginning to end. When I entered television, I had to learn an entirely new language of acting.
The camera captures every small expression, so you have to be subtle while ensuring that your emotions still reach the audience. Theatre gave me strength as a performer, while television taught me the technical aspects of acting.
Among all the characters he has portrayed, Aadesh Chaudhary says Laagi Tujhse Lagan continues to hold a special place in his heart. Out of all the shows I have done, Laagi Tujhse Lagan will always remain my favourite.
Even today, fans send me old clips and scenes from the show on social media. Many of them tell me that they still become emotional or even cry while watching those moments again.

Hearing that is incredibly special because every single scene and every dialogue in that show came straight from my heart.
I was completely invested in the character, and I think audiences could genuinely feel that honesty in my performance.
Talking about what audience appreciation means to him, Aadesh Chaudhary added, Over the years, I have received many compliments, but one compliment has stayed with me the most.
Whenever someone tells me that a particular character touched their heart or that they connected emotionally with my performance, I feel I have achieved my purpose as an actor.
Awards, appreciation and popularity are all wonderful, but making someone feel something through your work is the biggest reward.
There can be no greater compliment for an actor than knowing that a character stayed with the audience long after the show ended.
Now shifting his focus towards films and web series, Aadesh Chaudhary says he is being selective about his future projects. At this stage, I want to focus on meaningful work in films and on OTT.
I don’t believe in taking up projects just to stay busy rather I would wait for a role that excites me creatively and allows me to explore something new as an actor.
I believe good work always finds its way to the audience, and whenever the right opportunity comes along, people will definitely see me back on screen in a completely new avatar.
