After wrapping up Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Abhishek Singh looks forward to his next project, Mistry, alongside Mona Singh and Ram Kapoor.
He reflects on friendships formed on set, teases an upcoming film on Sony Liv, and embraces change as fuel for his next roles.
Abhishek Singh has a simple philosophy: cherish the past, but focus on what’s next. As his long-running show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin wraps up next month, he prefers to look ahead. “Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein has been a fabulous experience for me! But you know, all good things come to an end! I will not speculate on the serial’s ending too much, but as for me, I’m looking forward to my next! There’s nothing quite as exciting as donning a new personality in a brand-new world for an actor!” he shares.
Abhishek’s eagerly awaited series is called Mistry, starring Mona Singh and Ram Kapoor—ushering viewers into a brand-new world he can’t wait audiences to explore. “It feels absolutely beautiful and exciting when your work is finally out there for everyone to watch. Let’s hope the viewers love it,” he adds.
Working with Mistry’s cast has been a smooth experience.
Abhishek and Ram Kapoor hit it off instantly—turns out they both studied at Sherwood College, Nainital. “Ram and I connected pretty well! We are both from Sherwood College, Nainital. And we hit it off pretty easily,” he reveals.
He also found Mona Singh welcoming on set. He shares, “I’ve known Mona a long time, through some mutual friends. But this marked our very first collaboration. It was a pretty relaxed time with her. She is very professional on set but also chilled out. I was very comfortable with just about all the artists on set.”
Beyond Mistry, Abhishek teases his upcoming projects. “Jazz City, a period film, is due to be released on Sony Liv later this year. I am currently in talks for some interesting new projects. Some exciting times ahead!” he mentions.
From bidding farewell to one show to stepping into another, Abhishek is clearly embracing change—fully aware that growth lies in movement. And for this actor, the journey continues.
