Arjun Bijlani looks back warmly on his journey with Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment but chose not to return for Season 2. The actor is now focused on meaningful projects and quality time with family.
Among Arjun Bijlani’s many successful shows — from Left Right Left and Miley Jab Hum Tum to Naagin, Ishq Mein Marjawan, and his fearless win on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 — one project that truly stood out for its fun and unexpected twist was Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment.
In the first season, Arjun Bijlani teamed up with close friend Karan Kundrra behind the kitchen counter, where the duo served up not just food but a generous helping of laughs and camaraderie. His quick wit and surprising culinary flair made him an instant favourite on the show.
Despite the roaring success of Season 1 and the return of fan-favourite contestants like Karan Kundrra, Aly Goni, Nia Sharma, and Reem Sameer Shaikh for Season 2 earlier this year, Arjun Bijlani opted out.
Speaking to Downtown Mirror Weekly, the Naagin actor confessed he still holds the show close to his heart.“ Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment will forever hold a very special place in my heart. The first season was truly an incredible experience — it was filled with so much laughter and fun.
The show was loved by the audience, and it did exceptionally well, which made being part of it even more fulfilling. I made some amazing memories with the team, and those bonds will always stay with me.”
So, why the absence this time around? “That being said, this time around, it was purely my personal decision to step away and not be part of the new season. It wasn’t an easy choice, because I genuinely miss being on set, interacting with my fellow contestants, and creating those light-hearted moments that people enjoyed watching.
But I also believe that every journey has its own arc. I felt that I had contributed everything I could to the show in the first season, and now it’s time for me to move on to newer challenges and experiences,” Arjun Bijlani replies.
And Arjun Bijlani’s next chapter is already in motion. With clarity and purpose, he adds, “Right now, I am at a stage in my life where I want to focus on doing projects that feel more concrete and creatively satisfying. At the same time, I want to spend my free time with my family.”
Smiling, he signs off — a man who knows when to move on, and how to do it with grace.
