Dipshikkha Nagpal: I Always Look For What New I Can Bring To The Table

Dipshikkha Nagpal, currently seen in Ishq Jabariya, shares her approach to staying relevant and creatively fulfilled after three decades in the industry.

With a career spanning over three decades, Dipshikkha Nagpal continues to evolve as an actor, bringing freshness and depth to every character she portrays. Known for her versatility in shows like Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Shaktimaan, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Ranju Ki Beityaan, and Na Umra Ki Seema Ho, she is currently seen in Ishq Jabariya, where she once again proves her ability to adapt and shine.

“Variety and diversity don’t knock on your door every day,” Dipshikkha Nagpal shares.

She adds, “As actors, we often have to work with what’s offered, but that’s where the real challenge lies — bringing something new to familiar spaces. I always strive to add a new flavour to every character I take on.”

She believes that with experience comes a responsibility to push boundaries. Dipshikkha Nagpal shares, “All the roles I take on are challenging in their own way. Having worked for over 30 years, I feel a strong need to deliver something extra—especially when channels and production houses trust me with a role. I ask myself, ‘What can I do to make this different from anything I’ve done before?’ That’s what I owe my fans.”

Dipshikkha Nagpal’s creative approach isn’t confined to her on-screen work. She applies the same mindset to her digital presence as well. She says, “Whether it’s acting or social media, I try to keep things fresh. Platforms today allow us to connect directly with the audience, and I like that challenge — finding new ways to engage, to stay relevant, and to bring something interesting to the table.”

After years of playing grey or intense roles, the actress is now enjoying a positive shift in her on-screen image. “After playing Goldie Bua in Megha Barsenge, I’ve been receiving offers for more positive characters — and I’m loving this phase. It’s rewarding to explore softer, more relatable emotions after years of intensity,” Dipshikkha Nagpal says.

With her passion for reinvention and commitment to craft, Dipshikkha Nagpal remains a strong and steady presence in the ever-evolving television landscape.
