Ektaa Kapoor’s iconic dream show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ is all set to return on television with a grand comeback. The much-loved show will mark the comeback of actress Smriti Irani to television. The show will also witness the return of the OG beloved couple Tulsi and Mihir to television.
Sources have it that Amar Upadhyay will reprise the popular character of Mihir Virani in the show.

As per our highly placed sources, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is speculated to hit the TV screens from 3rd July 2025. The show might have a total of 162 episodes, however, the numbers can vary depending upon the response of the audiences.
Talking about the plot of the show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will ensure that the viewers will find the same essence in the show which connected them to the project many years ago. The show will restart 25 years later wherein Tulsi will be in a quest to bring her family members closer. Tulsi, now the family matriarch, brings the family home—reuniting generations with their shared legacy.
Some actors from the original cast may return to the show for continuity roles, special appearances, or cameo performances.
Recently, Downtown Mirror Weekly also informed the viewers that actress Gauri Shelgaonkar who was seen in Dangal TV’s show Safal Hogi Teri Aaradhana has been shortlisted to play an important role in the show.
There’s no confirmation regarding Shelgaonkar’s association with the show yet.
