Building an Indian Brand with Global Standards

Celebrity hairstylist and entrepreneur Florian Hurel has launched his luxury haircare range, fHair. As the product continues to grow, he insists that reducing the brand’s packaging footprint remains one of his top priorities.

Florian Hurel said, “As we scale, we have a responsibility to ensure growth and sustainability go hand in hand. We are constantly exploring ways to reduce excess packaging, make better material choices, and improve recyclability across the brand.”

He maintains that conscious beauty is not a trend or a marketing statement and adds, “It is a commitment to making thoughtful decisions that can stand the test of time. Our ambition is to build a homegrown Indian brand that can be recognized on a global stage, and that journey must be rooted in responsible and sustainable practices from the very beginning.”

For him, fully recyclable packaging is a priority. Florian Hurel shared, “It drives large-scale impact and serves as the cornerstone for sustained growth and future initiatives.” It allows us to maintain product protection and the premium experience while making end-of-life disposal simpler and more effective.”

“Sustainability is a journey, and I believe the smartest innovations are the ones that can be implemented consistently and responsibly as the brand grows,” Florian Hurel added.

Asked whether there is pressure on the brand to lead by example on sustainability. Florian Hurel said, “I see it less as pressure and more as responsibility. My career has always been about helping people look and feel their best, and today that responsibility extends beyond performance to the choices we make as a brand.”
