Achieving the coveted number one spot for three consecutive weeks, including sharing the top position with the TRP powerhouse Anupamaa, seemed like an almost impossible feat. Yet, Rahul Kumar Tewary’s Udne Ki Aasha, starring Neha Harsora and Kanwar Dhillon, has pulled off what can only be described as an extraordinary accomplishment. The show’s success is something to celebrate, and the entire team is buzzing with excitement over this remarkable achievement.
Downtown Mirror had the opportunity to sit down with Kanwar to discuss what it feels like to reach the pinnacle of the ratings chart.
Here’s what he had to say about the milestone:
“It feels incredible to see Udne Ki Aasha reach the top, but we’re not letting success distract us. Our focus remains on delivering meaningful and engaging content for the audience. At the end of the day, it’s their love and support that truly matters.”
Everyone strives to create a hit show, but did Kanwar ever anticipate that Udne Ki Aasha, which premiered in March of last year and also features Puru Chibber, Sneha Raikar, and Sanjay Narvekar, would resonate with the audience so quickly after its launch?
“We always put in our best efforts, hoping that the story connects with people, but the overwhelming response has been truly humbling. Seeing the audience embrace the show so quickly is beyond what we expected, and it just motivates us to keep raising the bar with every episode,” he shared.
For those who may not know, Kanwar is the son of veteran actor Deep Dhillon. When asked about his father’s reaction to his show becoming a success, he said, “In the early days of my career, he used to give me a lot of advice, but now he trusts that I know what I’m doing and he’s proud. In fact, he’s really happy for Udne Ki Aasha — he watches the promos and episodes and often tells me how much he liked them.”
