Hrishikesh Pandey, currently seen in CID, expressed disbelief over the tragic news. “It’s absolutely shocking. That’s not an age to go. He was just 54,” he said.
Although the two actors hadn’t collaborated professionally, Hrishikesh Pandey shared that he had met Mukul on several occasions in social settings. He recalled, “He radiated positivity and had an energy that instantly lifted the mood of everyone around him. Every time I saw him, he had this sweet smile on his face—just a genuinely lovely human being.”
Reacting to reports that Mukul was deeply affected by the loss of his mother and began neglecting his health afterward, Hrishikesh Pandey reflected on the mental strain that often accompanies personal grief. He shares, “In the kind of high-pressure lives we live, it’s essential to build mental resilience. Of course, no one can truly understand the weight someone carries inside, but it’s important to speak up, lean on friends, and seek help when things start to feel overwhelming. Mental health should be of paramount importance. Nothing is permanent in life, and we need to remind ourselves of that often.”

Rahul’s partner, actress Mugdha Godse, told Hindustan Times that Mukul had been in the ICU for a week due to health complications.
