I Don’t Want to Erase My Mistakes Because They Made Me Who I Am
Television actress Niharika Chouksey believes every struggle, rejection and mistake has contributed to her journey, and she wouldn’t change a single chapter of her life.
Looking back at her career, the actress reflected on the lessons she has learned, the unwavering support of her parents and why she continues to stay grounded despite achieving success at a young age.
Speaking about the hardships that shaped her, Niharika Chouksey said, Everyone makes mistakes. Human beings learn through them.
I don’t want to change any of my mistakes because if they hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have learned those lessons. Whatever I am today is because of those experiences.
Niharika Chouksey added that difficult phases made her emotionally stronger. There has been a lot of crying and a lot of learning.
But if those experiences hadn’t happened, I don’t think I would have the thought process I have today. So I wouldn’t change anything.
From Burhanpur to Mumbai: Niharika Chouksey’s Journey into Television
Recalling her journey from Burhanpur to Mumbai, Niharika admitted that moving to a new city without industry contacts wasn’t easy. Coming to Mumbai was difficult.
My parents had their doubts because so many girls dream of becoming actresses. But I always believed I would achieve something.
The struggle never really ends when you don’t have a film background or connections in the industry.
She credited her family for making that struggle easier. Throughout my journey, my parents have been my strongest pillars of support.
We may have our differences, but at the end of the day they are the ones who stand by me. If I have reached here today, a huge credit goes to them.
Why Family Support Became Her Greatest Strength
Niharika Chouksey also spoke about the importance of maintaining transparency with her parents, especially while navigating the entertainment industry.
My mother has always stayed with me, so I have been protected from many unpleasant situations. Sometimes people make suggestive comments, but my mother has taught me how to put them in their place.
I tell my parents everything. Even when I text someone from the industry, I often make them feel like they are talking to my mother.
The actress also believes financial independence is just as important as love in a relationship.
Money is important and love is important. Only money without love won’t work, and only love without financial stability won’t work either. I also don’t believe only men should be financially independent.
Women should earn enough to fulfil their own dreams and also support their parents.
Why Her Career Remains Her Top Priority Right Now
At this stage of her life, Niharika Chouksey says her focus remains firmly on her career rather than relationships. I am quite young and I want to focus on my work.
Whatever little experience I have had in relationships wasn’t great, so right now my focus is my work. When the right person comes into my life, everyone will know because I’m an open book.
