Parineetii Actor Ssudeep Sahir On Comparisons With Mr Bajaj: Being Compared to Such a Legendary Character Is An Honor

At Downtown Mirror Weekly, we were the first to highlight the striking similarities between Ssudeep Sahir’s portrayal of Prithvi Agnihotri in Parineetii and the legendary Mr. Bajaj from Kasautii Zindagii Kay, a role immortalized by Ronit Bose Roy. Addressing these comparisons, Ssudeep Sahir, who joined the Parineetii cast earlier this month, acknowledges, “Yes, I have heard the comparisons. Mr. Bajaj was an iconic and cult character — written brilliantly and portrayed with finesse. To have my character, Prithvi Agnihotri, compared to such a legendary character is truly an honor.”

Ssudeep Sahir continues, “It’s a massive compliment for me, and it only drives me to deliver my best performance. I aim to give my 100% and do complete justice to this role. The fact that people are drawing parallels between my portrayal and a character as well-crafted as Mr. Bajaj is both humbling and inspiring. I can only hope to meet the high expectations and keep delivering a performance that resonates with the audience.”

Delving deeper into his character, Ssudeep Sahir reveals, “Prithvi is a sharp, calculating businessman who exists in a morally gray area. His actions are driven by events from his past that shaped his current persona. He’s a mysterious figure with a single-minded focus on revenge, and his obsessive-compulsive tendencies are key to understanding his complexity. These traits define his personality and influence his decisions throughout the story.”

What attracted him to this role was Prithvi’s eccentric and unpredictable nature. Ssudeep Sahir explains, “When I first learned about his OCD tendencies, I knew I wanted to explore them in a nuanced and authentic way, rather than relying on clichés. OCD is often misunderstood as just an obsession with cleanliness, but in reality, it’s an overwhelming need for control. It goes much deeper than the typical portrayals we see on screen. To bring this aspect of Prithvi to life, I focused on the smallest, most subtle details that reveal his internal struggles. I paid attention to how his fingers tighten when things don’t feel right, the way he obsessively arranges his surroundings, and the brief hesitation in his expression when an unexpected disruption throws off his sense of order. These small, seemingly insignificant moments are key to shaping Prithvi, making him more than just a sharp businessman — he’s a man constantly battling his compulsions and the need to maintain control over his chaotic world.”
