Aanchal Khurana Reflects on a Challenging 2026: ‘Sometimes Growth Looks Like Simply Surviving’
Actor Aanchal Khurana who has been part of shows such as ‘MTV Roadies 8,’ ‘Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke,’ ‘Sarojini – Ek Nayi Pehal,’ ‘Zindagi Ki Mehek,’ ‘Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop,’ ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2,’ and ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karoge,’ has opened up about the challenges, uncertainties, and emotional struggles she has faced during the first half of 2026. Looking back at the past six months, the actress described the period as one marked by survival, reflection, and adaptation rather than celebration.
Speaking about her professional journey so far this year, Aanchal Khurana admitted that the changing nature of the entertainment industry has made the road increasingly unpredictable.

“The first six months of 2026 have felt like a storm more than a journey. Professionally, it’s been a period of constant uncertainty, reflection, and adaptation. The entertainment industry is changing faster than ever, and sometimes it feels like everyone is running, but nobody really knows where the finish line is,” Aanchal Khurana said.
Aanchal Khurana also reflected on the larger global atmosphere and how it impacts individuals, especially those working in creative fields. “The world itself has been carrying a strange energy—conflicts, economic pressures, social divisions, and a growing sense of anxiety. I think we’re all absorbing more stress than we realize. As artists, we don’t just witness this chaos; we internalise it. Sometimes that emotional weight becomes difficult to separate from our personal lives.”
When asked how she manages stress amid growing complexities in both personal and professional life, Aanchal Khurana gave an honest and vulnerable response. “Honestly, I’m not living these days, I’m just surviving them. Holding it together on the surface, while constantly fighting the urge to break underneath.”
She further added, “People see strength. What they don’t see is that most days I’m surviving on sheer willpower, constantly resisting the urge to break.” Acknowledging the pressures of modern life, she said that maintaining a positive image can sometimes become exhausting. “Managing stress isn’t something I’ve mastered. Some days I handle it well, and some days I don’t. I think there is a lot of pressure on people to constantly appear strong, productive, and positive. The truth is, there are days when you’re exhausted, disappointed, questioning yourself, and still expected to show up with a smile.”
Discipline in a World That Constantly Changes the Rules
Aanchal Khurana also spoke about the challenge of maintaining discipline in a world where priorities constantly shift. “Discipline has been one of the biggest challenges. Not because I don’t value it, but because life keeps changing the rules. One priority replaces another before you’ve even finished dealing with the first. The real discipline today isn’t about perfect routines; it’s about continuing despite confusion, despite setbacks, despite feeling mentally drained.”
Sharing her thoughts on the future of the entertainment industry, Aanchal Khurana said the era of predictability may be over. “I think we’re entering an era where predictability no longer exists. Big budgets don’t guarantee success. Fame doesn’t guarantee relevance. Talent alone doesn’t guarantee opportunity. Audience preferences are changing overnight. Trends are born and forgotten in weeks. It’s both exciting and terrifying.”
She believes the audience now plays a more influential role than ever before in determining what succeeds.
“Personally, I feel the industry is becoming more unforgiving, but also more honest. The audience has more power than ever. They decide what survives and what disappears. The challenge for artists is to stay authentic when the pressure to constantly reinvent yourself is overwhelming.”
How Difficult Chapters Can Lead to Greater Self-Awareness
Summing up her emotional state after six turbulent months, Aanchal Khurana shared that the experience has left her more introspective than triumphant.
“These six months haven’t left me feeling victorious. They’ve left me feeling thoughtful, tired, a little disillusioned, but also more aware. Sometimes growth doesn’t look like success. Sometimes growth looks like surviving a difficult chapter without losing yourself completely.”
