Vishal Gandhi Opens Up About His Toughest Role and the Emotional Impact of Online Trolling
Actor Vishal Gandhi, who won hearts as the lead in both seasons of Tose Naina Milaike, opens up about his most challenging character and the reality of facing trolls.
“Mihir in Tamanna Was One of the Most Challenging Characters I’ve Played”
Recalling his toughest role, Vishal Gandhi says, “Mihir in Tamanna was probably the most challenging character I’ve played. He had many shades. Sometimes positive, sometimes manipulative, and sometimes completely negative.”
For Vishal Gandhi, the real test was in the details. ““The biggest challenge was seamlessly transitioning from one emotion to another while adapting my body language instantly.,” he shares. “With Mihir, I had to communicate more through expressions, mannerisms, and subtle reactions rather than just dialogues. That made the role both demanding and exciting.”

Vishal Gandhi on Facing Online Trolls and Personal Criticism
Beyond the craft, Vishal Gandhi gets candid about the emotional toll of being in the public eye. “One thing people don’t realize is that actors are human too. We do get hurt when people troll us or make personal comments,” he says.
Vishal Gandhi points out how the line between reel and real often blurs for viewers. “Many viewers get so connected to a character that they start believing it’s real, forgetting that we’re just playing a role. Sometimes the comments and criticism can cross the line and become quite hurtful.”
But Vishal Gandhi takes it in stride. “I make a conscious effort not to let it get to me, but at the end of the day, we’re human. Some things do leave an impact and stay with you for a while.”
Vishal Gandhi became a household name after featuring in popular shows like Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, Tamanna, Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet, and Bandhan Saat Janamon Ka, among others.
