‘A.R. Rahman Is a Genius,’ Says Anupama Prakash
Actress Anupama Prakash, who is known for Risknamaa, Prabha Ki Diary, and Inside Stories: Handcuffed, shares her thoughts on the World Music Day. She feels life is better with a soundtrack as music has its own way of connecting with people. When asked about her favourite artist she says,”I just love A R Rahman. He is a genius; he composes, sings and also plays instruments so well. The whole world dances to his tunes. My favourite song is ‘O hum dum bin tere kya jeena’. I wish to learn music if I get an opportunity, I am a bathroom singer.”
Anupama Prakash shares that music holds a special meaning for her and she listens to music while driving and also during her sleep she puts on some light music which works as a special therapy for her.

Anupama Prakash adds,”Music is like a game changer. When you are sad, you listen to happy music and you feel better. When you listen to sad music, you feel sad. Even if you are not sad, you try to feel the emotions behind the song. Music can also generate a lot of positivity in people’s behaviour patterns. Music is like a magic that can make people feel better.”

When it comes to her favourite singer from the Hindi playback industry it has to be the nightangle of India Lata Mangeshkar and Sunidhi Chauhan.
Anupama Prakash says,” I love all Lata Ji’s songs but my favourite is her songs from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Then comes the versatile Sunidhi Chauhan who actually has such great range.
