Satya Tiwari aka Anupamaa’s Gautam Kanwar says, ‘Every relationship in Anupamaa has its own depth, but I find the evolving friendships the most intriguing’

Satya Tiwari, who joined the cast of the hit show Anupamaa earlier this year as Gautam Kanwar, is excited about the complexities his character brings to the storyline. Portraying a character with a darker shade, Satya describes Gautam’s journey as anything but simple. “My character’s journey is marked by powerful emotions and significant growth. I’m especially looking forward to audiences seeing the transformation of Gautam —how his strengths, vulnerabilities, and decisions evolve. Some of the unexpected moments will truly challenge perceptions, and that’s always thrilling to perform.”

As Gautam navigates relationships on the show, Satya finds the evolving friendships particularly compelling. He highlights the way these connections unfold with depth, conflict, and growth, making them feel incredibly real and relatable. “Every relationship in Anupamaa has its own depth, but I find the evolving friendships the most intriguing. They reflect trust, betrayal, love, and redemption — just like in real life. The way these bonds change over time feels so authentic,” he explains.

He further adds, “The show continues to evolve beautifully, and the introduction of our family has brought a fresh burst of energy to the storyline. Our presence has added not only drama but also unexpected twists, making every scene more dynamic. It’s a truly exciting experience! Every day on set presents something new, keeping us and the audience on our toes.”

Despite portraying a negative character, Satya has garnered a strong fan following, something he values deeply. He reflects, “The love from the fans keeps growing, but what touches me the most are the moments when viewers can relate to the characters and their personal lives. That’s when I’m reminded of the true purpose of what we do. It’s more than just acting — it’s about touching lives.”

Anupamaa, which premiered in July 2020, has been a consistent TRP magnet, captivating audiences from the very beginning. The family drama stars Rupali Ganguly in the title role, alongside Alisha Parveen Khan and Shivam Khajuria. The recent addition of Manish Goel, who plays a pivotal character, is expected to further elevate the show’s appeal.
