All work and no play makes Jill a dull girl, and Adaa Khan truly understands this sentiment after years of working tirelessly. The Naagin actress had a wake-up call when she realised that her relentless work schedule was taking a toll on her health. She recalls, “There was a time when I was working non-stop, and my health suffered greatly. It was a moment of reckoning for me — I realised that I needed to carve out time for myself. I didn’t want to look back one day and regret not having explored the world or experienced new things.”
Since that realisation, Adaa has made it a priority to plan her travels. While she enjoys traveling with friends, she admits that solo trips have become her preferred way of discovering new places.
She says, “I enjoy the independence of traveling alone. It allows me to go at my own pace, without being tied down by anyone else’s plans. I feel fearless and independent, and it’s a chance to truly connect with myself and the world around me.”
Adaa’s travels have also had a profound impact on her personal growth. She says, “When we’re immersed in our own circles, we often forget that there’s so much more out there. Traveling to different countries has not only broadened my horizons but also given me the confidence to strike up conversations with people from all walks of life. It’s like unlocking new layers of understanding about the world and myself.”
When it comes to her career, Adaa has become more selective. After years of hard work, she now knows what she’s accomplished and where she stands.
She says, “I’ve realised the importance of quality over quantity. I don’t want to take up any project just for the sake of visibility or money. I’m patiently waiting for the right opportunity to come my way, one that truly excites me and aligns with my passion. Sure, as you gain experience, the number of opportunities may decrease, but I’m okay with waiting for something that really resonates with me.”
