After months of anticipation and delays, Aami Dakini, the much-talked-about fantasy starring Sheen Dass, is finally set to premiere tomorrow on Sony Entertainment Television. Originally slated to hit screens in February, the show faced multiple roadblocks before locking in its launch date.
Excited about the big premiere, Sheen Dass shares, “Yes, the show is finally launching after a lot of delay, but I think the wait will be worth it. Both the narrative and ensemble saw a complete transformation. Everything has been done for the better.
Sometimes, the channel and the producers have to take tough calls, but this was for the betterment of the show. I’m really glad that the show is launching. The entire team has put in a lot of effort and we are happy to be working on this show. Now, I can’t wait for the audience to watch it and I hope they enjoy it.”
Significant changes were made to the fantasy series, including bringing in Hitesh Bharadwaj to take over the lead role from Rohit Chandel. When asked if it was challenging to adjust to the new dynamics, Sheen Dass calmly responds, “We hardly shot for a day or two in Kolkata, following which there was a halt, and we were told that the show was going on an indefinite break.
I think the makers worked on the story again and treated it like a new show. I also treated it like a new show. So, it wasn’t challenging at all, as it felt like a new beginning. The new cast—they are warm and nice, and I have gelled with them. They are very good at their work and they are good people.”
