Anita Hassanandani has been crowned the winner of Chhoriyan Chali Gaon Season 1, prevailing through rural challenges, emotional trials, and consistent performances.
Zee TV’s reality show Chhoriyan Chali Gaon is set to wrap up its inaugural season in the first week of October, bringing to a close a gripping journey that began with 11 urban female contestants adapting to life in a rural village. After weeks of physical, emotional, and culturally rooted challenges, the show has found its winner and it’s none other than Anita Hassanandani.
Hosted by Rannvijay Singha, the show launched on August 3, 2025, with a unique format that stripped contestants of their modern-day comforts. Participants were expected to live like locals without gadgets or luxuries and take on daily village tasks such as milking cows, riding bullock carts, cooking on chulhas, fetching water, and adapting to local customs. They were judged on task performance, consistency, bonding with villagers, and emotional resilience. Each week, one contestant earned the “Chhori Number 1” title, which came with special privileges, while the lowest-performing participants faced elimination.
