Arav Chowdharry steps into a layered new role as Dushyant in Dhaakad Beera, blending strength with vulnerability.
The actor shares insights on portraying complex characters and what sets this show apart from his past work.
Arav Chowdharry enjoys taking on roles that have depth and strength, and his next project is another step in that direction. He joins Yash and Mamta Patnaik’s upcoming show Dhaakad Beera, produced under the Inspire Films banner. The drama also features Rakshanda Khan, Gaurav S. Bajaj, and Nikki Sharma in key roles.
Speaking about his character, Arav shared, “People still remember the work I did in Vivekam (Tamil). Recently, I did Razakar, my first Telugu film, in which I played an army officer. Honestly, there’s a special joy in portraying strong characters, this too is one such powerful role.”
Arav will be seen as Dushyant, a layered and intriguing personality. He said, “There will also be scenes between Kishmish (Nikki Sharma) and Dushyant that have an undercurrent of romance and intrigue. There’s a lot of energy and chemistry between them, with deep emotions and many things unfolding, which I think the audience will really enjoy.”
While audiences have seen him in intense roles before, Arav believes Dhaakad Beera offers something new. He said, “It’s not that I haven’t done emotional roles before, I did Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Ek Baar Phir, but that was different. This one, in its look and feel, is very interesting. I’m genuinely excited to be part of this show, and with God’s grace and people’s love and blessings, I hope we do really well.”
With a career spanning multiple genres, from mythological dramas to comedies like Housefull 3, Arav reflects on the kind of roles that stay with viewers. He shared, “The characters that make a lasting impression are always the strong, impactful ones. But this time, Dushyant is different, he’s not a villain. He’s a hero filled with complex emotions—there’s love, romance, passion, obsession, and action, everything in one.”
Promising a mix of mystery, emotion, and intensity, Dhaakad Beera is shaping up to be an engaging new addition to television. “The name itself means bold and powerful, and we’re definitely going to do something truly dhaakad,” Arav concluded.
