Children’s Day may have been celebrated yesterday, but the warmth of the occasion still lingers for actress Niharika Chouksey. Marking the day with a heartfelt message, the Tumm Se Tumm Tak actress reflected on the joy of childhood, the innocence that shapes us, and the importance of holding on to the little spark that makes life brighter.
Speaking about what Children’s Day means to her, Niharika shared that it remains one of the most cherished days from her growing years. She said, “Children’s Day nudges us to pause and appreciate the little moments that bring genuine happiness. As we grow up, we often get caught up in responsibilities and forget to enjoy the little things. I truly believe that every person should hold on to the childlike curiosity, honesty and laughter within them. No matter how old we get, the child in us should never fade away.”
Reminiscing about her school celebrations, Niharika recalled being full of energy and endlessly talkative. She added, “I remember how our school used to celebrate Children’s Day with so much excitement. We would decorate our classrooms, perform small plays, and get chocolates from teachers. It was one of those days when everything felt light and happy. I miss those carefree days, but the memories still make me smile.”
She also shared how her role as Anu in Tumm Se Tumm Tak keeps her connected to her inner child. She said, “Playing Anu has been a very emotional journey for me. She has a pure heart and always believes in doing the right thing, no matter how tough life gets. In many ways, Anu reminds me of my younger self–simple, hopeful and honest.”
Ending her message on a warm note, she encouraged her fans to embrace the joy of being young at heart. “To all the kids and everyone who still carries that innocence within, keep smiling, dreaming and believing in yourself. That is what Children’s Day is all about. It is a celebration of hope, love and laughter,” she concluded.
