Actress Simron Upadhyay, currently seen in Noyontara, recently opened up about the growing challenges faced by today’s generation and why mental health should never be ignored. With a career spanning over ten years in the Bengali entertainment industry, Simron believes conversations around emotional well-being are more important now than ever.

Having worked in more than 13 daily soaps, numerous advertisements, and four films, Simron Upadhyay describes herself as someone who has always stayed mentally engaged. “Having multiple engagements gave me a sense of momentum rather than stagnation. Until two years ago, I was also pursuing my master’s degree, which gave me something solid to fall back on,” she shared.

Simron Upadhyay feels that social media has become a double-edged sword for today’s youth. “Concern over personal image and perception has become almost unavoidable. The filter culture creates pressure that is not real. It is important to remember that online life is not the same as real life,” she said.

Speaking about failure, the actress believes it should not be feared. “Anything worth achieving involves facing setbacks more than once. The real learning comes from not repeating the same mistakes and continuing to move forward,” Simron Upadhyay stated.

According to Simron Upadhyay, mental health plays a defining role in sustaining both professional success and personal happiness. “Mental health is everything. I do feel stress, but being optimistic helps. My message is simple, take your mental health seriously, talk about it, and do not ignore it just to keep going,” she advised.

Despite the pressures of the modern world, Simron Upadhyay remains optimistic about the younger generation. “They are smart, creative, quick learners, and fearless. It strengthens my belief that the future will be brighter,” she said.
