This nikaah is not built on love or consent, but on fear and control. Seher, played by Rishita Kothari, finds herself being pushed into a marriage she never agreed to, with no space left for her voice or choice.
A Wedding Decided By Fear, Not Consent
Seher’s situation grows increasingly suffocating as her father, Parvez, tightens his grip on her life. Determined to break her resistance, he crosses a dangerous line by locking away her mother, Kausar, leaving Seher emotionally trapped. With her mother’s freedom used as leverage, Seher is forced toward a wedding she desperately wants to escape. Every attempt to speak up is silenced, making it painfully clear that obedience matters more than her happiness.
Meanwhile, Mahid, portrayed by Parth Samthaan, arrives as the groom, believing this marriage is destined to happen. Completely unaware of the truth behind the union, he does not realise that Seher’s silence has been forced upon her. As the rituals continue and music fills the air, Mahid steps forward, thinking fate has brought them together, while Seher stands trapped in a decision she never made.
Hidden Tensions Behind The Celebrations
Behind the decorated stage and smiling faces, unrest continues to simmer. Nazima, unable to accept the situation, plots to stop the wedding by releasing a deadly snake and creating chaos. Her desperate plan adds another layer of danger to an already fragile ceremony, pushing it closer to disaster.
Adding to the tension, Husna Phupi arrives from Aligarh, visibly furious that Mahid is marrying Seher instead of Nazima. Having raised Mahid after his mother’s suicide, her emotional hold over him is strong. Her anger and disapproval cast a dark shadow over the nikaah, highlighting unresolved conflicts and buried resentments.
Seher’s Last Attempt To Escape
With every exit blocked and her every move monitored, Seher takes one final risk. In secret, she reaches out to Dr. Fareed, hoping he can bring her mother to the wedding venue. Her plan is clear, to rescue Kausar and escape before the final vow binds her to a life she never chose.
As hidden plans collide and tensions rise, the wedding teeters on the edge of collapse.
