Ishika Gagneja on Border 2 Success: Audience Love Inspires Her to Work Harder
Actress Ishika Gagneja is immensely happy as her film Border 2 has got lots of love from the audience and at the same time the film is doing very well at the box office. Border 2, which stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Dhawan is turning out to be a blockbuster.
Sharing her excitement and joy the young actress says,”I feel incredibly grateful for the overwhelming love the film has received. What touched me the most is hearing from people across all age groups – from children to the elderly, who’ve connected deeply with the film. In the film she plays Diljit Dosanjh’s sister. Many viewers are calling her performance “quietly powerful.” So was it challenging to express so much with restraint rather than loud emotions.
Ishika Gagneja says,”I focused on understanding what my character must have been feeling in those moments and stayed true to that. Every individual expresses emotions differently, and that’s what makes us human. I found my own way of expressing Sukhminder’s emotions, and I’m glad that subtlety resonated with the audience. I feel nothing but gratitude. Gratitude towards our Indian Armed Forces and their families for their courage and sacrifice. Gratitude towards the makers of the film for telling this story with such honesty and respect.
And immense gratitude towards the audience for connecting with and loving my performance. As an actor, being able to move people emotionally, to make them feel pain, pride, or empathy, is truly a blessing. I feel incredibly humbled.” In today’s time, where content moves so fast, Border 2 has managed to stay in people’s hearts. Ishika feels there is a proper reason behind this. She says, ”Because it’s inspired by real events and real people. Someone has lived the life that’s portrayed on screen, and that authenticity deeply impacts audiences. The film serves as a heartfelt tribute to our armed forces, and that sense of truth and respect is what truly connects with people.”
