An Attack On Pahalgam Is An Attack On Our Collective Memories And Hope: Shivangi Verma On Kashmir Terror Tragedy

Shivangi Verma condemns the Pahalgam Terror Attack, calling it an assault on India’s soul and spirit. The actress urges unity, resilience, and a collective stand for peace. Shivangi Verma, recently seen in Badass Ravikumar, has expressed deep sorrow over the horrific terror attack in Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, Kashmir, on April 22. The attack, which targeted a civilian convoy, resulted in the tragic loss of at least 28 lives and left the nation in shock and grief. It has been widely condemned as a brutal and cowardly act of violence.

In a heartfelt statement shared with the media, the actress called the incident “Heartbreaking” and “A stark reminder of the fragility of peace in sensitive regions.” Shivangi Verma extended her condolences to the grieving families and saluted the strength and courage of those affected.

Shivangi Verma , who has been part of television serials like Hamari Sister Didi, TV Biwi aur Main, Bhootu, and Choti Sarrdaarni, also spoke about the responsibility artistes carry in times of national distress. She emphasized the power of storytelling in fostering hope and resilience.

Shivangi Verma said, “It’s devastating to see such acts of hatred shatter the beauty and spirit of Kashmir. My heart goes out to every family mourning a loss. These moments test us as a nation, and it’s during such times that we must stand together, not drift apart.

Kashmir is not just a place — it’s an emotion for millions of Indians. An attack on Pahalgam is an attack on our collective memories, our culture, and our hope. So many families in Kashmir rely on tourism. These attacks don’t just claim lives; they destroy livelihoods, someone’s school fees, dreams and futures.”

Highlighting the power of voice and visibility, Shivangi Verma added, “As an artiste, I believe we must use our platform for more than entertainment. Whether through a post or a performance, we can help transform grief into strength.”

Shivangi Verma concluded with a strong message of unity and hope: “Let us not let fear divide us. Let this loss become a reason to unite stronger than ever. Peace is the ultimate and only meaningful victory. Jai Hind,” she concluded.
