Gauri Jain’s path into astrology began long before it became her profession, rooted instead in a childhood curiosity that quietly grew into a calling.

Born into a religious Jain family and now based in Navi Mumbai, she traces her interest back to books she picked up in school.

How Gauri Jain’s Journey Into Astrology Began

My journey with astrology began not as a profession, but as a deep curiosity during my childhood. While still in school, I found myself drawn towards books on zodiac signs, palmistry, and especially the works of Linda Goodman, Gauri Jain said.

That early fascination, she says, only deepened over time. “What started as simple reading soon turned into a passion that stayed with me over the years,” Gauri Jain said.

Vastu Shastra entered her life somewhat later, and almost by accident. Around 25 years ago, I was introduced to Vastu Shastra. I began by simply observing spaces, energies, and their effects on people’s lives.

The results I noticed were surprising and powerful, which inspired me to formally study Vastu as well, Gauri Jain said.

Nearly two decades ago, that passion turned into a full-fledged practice, shaped by mentors across cities. Nearly 20 years ago, I transformed this passion into my profession.

To deepen my knowledge, I joined a Vastu institute in Jaipur under the guidance of Shri Satish Sharma, where I studied both Astrology and Vastu in detail, Gauri Jain said.

Studying Vedic Astrology, KP System, Jaimini and Lal Kitab

Her training expanded from there into multiple traditions. Over time, I explored various branches including Vedic Astrology, KP System, Jaimini, and Lal Kitab, eventually developing a stronger inclination and expertise in Vedic Astrology.

My learning journey continued in Mumbai under the mentorship of Bharat Desai, where I completed Jyotish Pravesh and Jyotish Visharad.

Further, I had the opportunity to study Nakshatra-based astrology at Saptarishi Astrology under Dr. Arjun Pai, which added a deeper dimension to my understanding, Gauri Jain said.

For Gauri, though, formal study was never really the end point. Even after decades of practice, I strongly believe that learning never stops.

Today, my journey is more about self-study, observation, and intuitive understanding, constantly evolving with every chart, every space, and every life I get to touch, Gauri Jain said.
