Speaking on the occasion of World Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22, Shivangi Verma said, “I really believe in leading by example rather than just giving a speech. On my social media, I try to show how easy it is to make better choices, like carrying a reusable bottle or supporting local, homegrown labels.” When fans see that being eco-friendly is actually stylish and doable, they’re much more likely to try it themselves. It’s all about making green living feel like a cool lifestyle, not a chore.”
Asked if she brought in any eco-friendly changes to her personal lifestyle, Shivangi Verma said, “Switching to a more mindful wardrobe was a huge game-changer for me. As actors, we’re always expected to wear something new, but I’ve started repeating my outfits and styling them differently.”

“I have also cut out single-use plastics from my daily routine. It sounds small, but when you stop using plastic straws and bags every single day, you realize how much less trash you’re actually putting out into the world,” Shivangi Verma added.
Shivangi Verma has even turned down projects and endorsements. because of environmental concerns. She said, “I’ve said no to brands that use a lot of harsh chemicals or have really wasteful packaging. It’s hard to turn down work sometimes, but if I don’t believe in what a brand is doing to the earth, I can’t honestly tell my fans to go buy it. My peace of mind and my values are worth way more than a brand deal.”
If she could, she would start a global movement called “One Small Swap.” Shivangi Verma shared, “The idea is that nobody has to be perfect; you just pick one thing like switching to cloth bags or composting and stick to it. I’d use social media challenges to get people to post their swaps and tag their friends. If millions of us just change one small thing, the impact would be massive. It’s about progress, not perfection!”

She believes celebrities not only have a responsibility to speak up on climate change, but also it should be a personal choice too. “We are lucky enough to have people listen to us, so why not use that for something that actually matters? Climate change isn’t just a “topic”; it’s our reality. While everyone has the right to their own views, I feel that if you have a platform, you should use it to protect the home we all share,” Shivangi Verma ended.
