There has been an increase in fire incidents on TV show sets lately, and the latest to experience this unfortunate event is the set of Tenali Rama. A fire reportedly broke out at the Filmcity location on Sunday, caused by an electrical issue in a generator. The incident led to panic among the cast and crew, who were understandably concerned about safety. Fortunately, the fire was contained before it could spread to the main set. Sources from the production revealed that the blaze occurred at the outer side of the back part of the set. Thanks to the prompt response, the fire was extinguished without causing significant damage or injury.
Speaking about the incident, Krishna Bharadwaj, who plays the title role of Tenali Rama, reassured fans and the public, saying, “There has been no harm or casualty. All’s okay.”
This recent fire is part of a concerning trend of fire-related incidents on TV show sets. These incidents have highlighted the need for stringent safety protocols on set. As far as Tenali Rama is concerned, the show returned with another edition in December last year, featuring a mix of original and new cast members. While Krishna Bharadwaj and Priyamvada Kant returned to reprise their roles as Tenali Rama and his wife, Sharda, Aditya Redij stepped into the shoes of Manav Gohil to play Maharaja Krishnadevaraya. Sumit Kaul also joined the cast as Girgit Raj. Most recently, Pavitra Punia joined the show in the role of a vishkanya. The new additions to the cast have brought fresh energy to the series, while the core members continue to delight the audience with their performances.
