In a shocking incident early Monday morning, a massive fire broke out on the sets of television’s top-rated show Anupamaa, completely engulfing and destroying the entire set.
The cast and crew were left stunned as the blaze quickly spread, causing significant damage.
The blaze, which started around 5:00 AM completely charred the entire set of the show. Adding more to the horror, the entire crew members and workers were present at the time of fire as they were preparing for the morning shoot.
Anupamaa’s sets which happen to be at Goregaon Film City were reduced to zero in no time, however no injuries were reported. But had the shoot started on schedule, the loss would have been much worse, could have even led to serious injuries.
Apparently, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has taken strong action in the wake of the incident. The association has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to order a high-level judicial inquiry into the fire, making the situation more tense.

Luckily, nobody was hurt when the incident happened because several workers and crew members were there.

In a legal turn of events, the AICWA has called for a criminal FIR to be lodged not only against the production house and the television channel behind Anupamaa, but also against Film City management and the Labour Department, this has surely got an uninvited trouble for Rajan Shahi’s production house.
No actors have reacted to the incident yet, but the outpour of concern from the fans of the show has been overwhelming.
