Khushbu Rajendra, who plays Isha Mishra in Ram Bhavan, produced by Rahul Kumar Tewary’s Rolling Tales Production, recently opened up about her love for Holi, the colors that resonate with her, and her favorite ways to celebrate the festival. In a chat with Downtown Mirror Weekly, when asked about the color that best represents her, Khushbu shared, “While I love all the colors of Holi, mustard yellow is my absolute favorite. I feel it reflects my personality. The warmth, vibrancy, and energy of mustard yellow really resonate with who I am. It’s bright, bold, and full of life, just like my nature.”

She also expressed her desire to experience Holi in a special way this year, especially with her Ram Bhavan family. She said, “I’d love to celebrate Holi on the set with the entire cast and crew. We all work so hard every day, and it would be amazing to come together to celebrate. Although I don’t typically play Holi, I enjoy it in all forms. If I were to participate, I would play in every way possible — whether dry or with water colors. I think it’s important to enjoy the festival in its full spirit. However, water balloons are a big no-no for me. They pose a lot of risks, and I always advise a safer, more thoughtful way of celebrating.”
Khushbu, who is mindful of her skin and hair during Holi, offered a practical tip. She shared, “I don’t play Holi very often, but if you do, coconut oil is a great way to protect your skin and hair. It acts as a barrier, preventing colors from causing any damage. It’s a simple but effective way to enjoy the festival without worrying about the after-effects.”
For her festive wardrobe, she prefers simplicity and elegance. “I love wearing white for Holi,” she said with a smile, “but there’s no strict rule. I just follow my instincts and wear what feels right in the moment.”
