On the occasion of World Chocolate Day, actor Amal Sehrawat, known for his performances in Sarkar 3, Satya 2, Choti Sarrdaarni and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, shared his love for chocolates and reflected on the simple joys they bring. While he believes chocolates can instantly brighten one’s mood, he also stresses the importance of enjoying them in moderation.

Amal Sehrawat Shares Why Chocolates Are Everyone’s Comfort Food

Speaking about why chocolates remain everyone’s favourite comfort food, Amal Sehrawat says they have a unique way of making ordinary moments feel special. “I think chocolates have a special way of making people feel good. Whether you’re celebrating something, spending time with loved ones, or simply having a tough day, a piece of chocolate can instantly lift your mood. That’s probably why it’s such a universal comfort food. Having said that, I believe everything is best enjoyed in moderation. It’s absolutely fine to indulge once in a while and celebrate moments like World Chocolate Day, but maintaining a balanced lifestyle is equally important. So yes, enjoy your favorite chocolate — just don’t forget the balance,” he says.

A self-confessed chocolate lover, Amal Sehrawat reveals that dark chocolate tops his list, especially when paired with crunchy nuts. “I’m definitely a chocolate person! I enjoy dark chocolate the most because it has a rich taste and isn’t overly sweet. I also like chocolates with nuts — they add a nice crunch and make every bite more enjoyable. That said, I think the best chocolate is the one you enjoy in the moment, whether it’s dark, milk, or something with a unique filling. Every kind has its own charm,” he shares.

Amal Sehrawat Recalls Childhood Memories Filled With Chocolates

The actor also fondly remembers how chocolates made his childhood celebrations even more memorable.

“Absolutely. Like many of us, I have happy childhood memories of chocolates. Getting one as a reward after doing something good, receiving chocolates on birthdays, or sharing them with friends always felt special. Back then, it wasn’t about the price or the brand — it was the excitement and the happiness that came with such a simple treat. Even today, chocolates bring back those carefree memories and remind me that sometimes the smallest things create the biggest smiles,” Amal Sehrawat recalls.
