Simaran Kaur On The Pahalgam Terror Attack: This Can’t Be Forgiven

Simaran Kaur reacts with anguish and fury to the brutal Pahalgam Terror Attack that claimed 28 lives, calling for firm action and national unity. She says no Indian should live in fear within their own country — “India must rise stronger and stand against terror.”

Jamai No. 1 actress Simaran Kaur has expressed profound sorrow and outrage following the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, 2025. At least 28 people, including 26 tourists and two locals, were killed, and over 20 others were injured when militants affiliated with The Resistance Front opened fire on a group of civilians in Baisaran Valley. The assailants, reportedly disguised as security personnel, singled out non-Muslim victims, asking them to recite religious verses before opening fire.

Deeply moved by the tragedy, Simaran Kaur shared, “My heart goes out to the victims and their families. It is heartbreaking beyond words. To think that innocent people out to enjoy a peaceful moment in nature were targeted so brutally, is both shocking and deeply saddening. This can never be forgiven.”

Simaran Kaur didn’t hold back from voicing what many across the nation are feeling — a call for strong and decisive action. She said, “These terrorists need to know that we are not going to stay silent. We cannot afford to. I urge our Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Defence Minister to ensure that these perpetrators are dealt with firmly and given the punishment they truly deserve. We need to retaliate, not just to defend, but to deter such cowardly acts in the future.”

Her response resonates at a time when public emotions across the country are running high. Citizens, leaders, and celebrities alike are mourning the attack and calling for unity in the face of such violence. Simaran Kaur added that this isn’t just about one region or one day — it’s about the safety and dignity of every Indian. “What happened in Pahalgam is not just a Kashmir issue — it’s a national wound.

As Indians, we must all come together in grief, but more importantly, in resolve. We have to make it known that our people’s lives are not expendable. Every life lost leaves a mark on to our collective conscience,” Simaran Kaur said.

Simaran Kaur continued, “What hurts even more is knowing that this beautiful region, Kashmir — once called paradise on Earth — is now shadowed by fear. Families who were planning holidays will now think twice. Children will be told not to go there. Citizens are made to feel unsafe in their own homeland. That is unacceptable. No Indian should ever have to fear walking freely in their own country.

This is not just about those who lost their lives, as tragic as that is — it’s about every single person who will now live in fear. Fear to visit Kashmir. Fear to step into a part of India they should feel proud of. And worst of all — fear to trust that they are safe. That’s what terrorism tries to do — break our spirit. But we must not let it.”

Simaran Kaur concluded with a somber but powerful sentiment, “There are no words that can truly express the anguish so many of us feel. But what we can offer are our prayers, our solidarity, and our strength to those who have suffered. May the departed souls rest in peace. And may their families and loved ones find the courage to heal. India remembers. And India will rise stronger.”
