Farman Haider Reflects On Life Beyond Pocket Mein Aasmaan: The Only Thing I Can Control Is My Craft

After the conclusion of Pocket Mein Aasmaan, Farman Haider shares how stepping away from his intense character, Digvijay, required emotional effort and a much-needed break.

Despite the unpredictable nature of the industry, he stays focused on what he can control: perfecting his craft.

Following the conclusion of Pocket Mein Aasmaan on June 4, which wrapped up his almost four-month portrayal of the intense and multifaceted character, Digvijay, actor Farman Haider decided to unwind with a short trip to Dubai for some much-needed relaxation.

Having given his all to the role, which left a lasting emotional impact, he needed time to unwind and detach from his on-screen persona. Reflecting on this period, he shares, “Show endings are often bittersweet. I didn’t want to dwell on the sadness, so I decided to take a break. It helped clear my mind, and by the time I came back, I felt refreshed and ready for new challenges.”

For Farman Haider, the process of stepping away from Digvijay wasn’t as simple as moving on to the next project. The character, known for his explosive temper, had a way of lingering in his psyche.

“Digvijay was such an intense character that getting into that angry zone took a toll on me,” he admits, adding, “Heavy breathing and anxiety followed, but it was necessary for the role, and I’d do it a hundred times more if I had to.”

Despite the emotional weight of saying goodbye to the character, Farman remains optimistic about what lies ahead.

“Since the show went off air, I’ve received several audition offers, some for exciting new shows and scripts. The auditions went well, so let’s hope for the best,” Farman Haider shares.

As for future roles, he adds, “I’m open to taking on any meaty role in a good medium.”

Turning to the unpredictable nature of the television industry, particularly the pressure of TRP ratings and the uncertainty of a show’s longevity, Farman reflects on how it affects artists.

“Whether a show does well in terms of numbers or how long it lasts is beyond my control. What I can control is focusing on my craft. The external factors are out of our hands, so worrying about them is futile,” Farman Haider concludes.
