For actress Namitaa Sachdeva, who was seen in Mukesh Bhatt’s play Woh Subah Hum Hi Se Aayegi, sibling bonds come with their fair share of chaos, nostalgia and quiet gratitude.

She opened up about the fights, the phases and the lessons that have shaped her relationship with her sisters, Mukta and Anjali, over the years.

Asked what instantly lifts her mood, she didn’t have to think twice. Namitaa Sachdeva said, When she pays my shopping bills.

Their fights, she recalled, were the everyday kind that come with sharing a home and a cupboard.

Namitaa Sachdeva said, In the TV remote, on wearing her same costumes, which she just bought, even the new chaddis and bras which she bought for herself, I used to steal it from the same cupboard we had.

Dividing house chores, going to her college parties, and almost everything, har cheez pe ladayi.

When it comes to qualities she wishes she’d inherited, Namitaa Sachdev was quick to point to her sisters’ financial discipline.

From TV Remotes to Clothes, Namitaa Recalls Her Sibling Fights

Namitaa Sachdeva said, Both my elder siblings, Mukta and Anjali, are excellent financial managers, which I am not.

I am extravagant when it comes to spending money, don’t know how to control this worst habit of mine.

Namitaa Sachdeva admitted that growing up has quietly changed the way she and her sisters relate to each other.

Namitaa said, Yes, genuinely it changes when you grow older, but I think this is also a phase of life.

But one thing I miss is our genuine fights, our childhood bond. Also, I am not able to open up easily to even my sisters, don’t know why, but that’s a truth.

Despite that distance, she said there’s nothing she holds back from them. Namitaa Sachdeva said, Anything and everything I can share with her at this point in time, nothing specific comes to mind.

And when asked about the biggest lesson her siblings have taught her, without even realising it, she summed it up with warmth.

Try and manage things well. Also, that they are there even when not being present physically here in Mumbai.

I love both of them to the moon and back,  Namitaa Sachdeva ended.
