Why Is This Guru Purnima Spiritually Significant?

Explaining the importance of this Full Moon, Ashutosh Clairvoyant. said, “Every year we witness twelve Full Moons, but the Full Moon of July 29, 2026, stands in a league of its own. This is Ashadha Purnima, celebrated as Guru Purnima and also known as Vyasa Purnima because it marks the birth anniversary of Maharishi Ved Vyasa, who compiled the Vedas, wrote the Mahabharata and gave us the eighteen Puranas.”

He added that the Moon will become full in sidereal Capricorn (Makar Rashi) under Shravana Nakshatra, making the energy even more meaningful.

“Shravana means ‘to listen.’ On Guru Purnima, the Moon is in the nakshatra of listening. This is not a night to speak more — it is a night to listen to your Guru’s wisdom and your inner voice. Adding to its significance, the holy month of Sawan begins in North India the very next day, making this Full Moon a doorway between receiving the Guru’s blessings and beginning the sacred month of Lord Shiva,” he explained.

Ashutosh also noted that the Purnima Tithi begins on July 28 at 6:21 PM and ends on July 29 at 8:07 PM, with the fast and puja recommended on July 29.

– Zodiac Signs That Will Feel This Full Moon the Most

According to Ashutosh Clairvoyant, four zodiac signs are likely to experience the strongest influence.

  • Capricorn (Makar): Emotional release and deep inner cleansing.
  • Cancer (Kark): Relationship clarity and emotional reflection.
  • Aries (Mesh): Balancing career and family responsibilities.
  • Libra (Tula): Important life decisions may require patience.

“Capricorn natives may feel emotions rising to the surface after months of suppressing them, but this is emotional cleansing, not a breakdown. Cancer will gain clarity in relationships, while Aries and Libra may feel pulled between career and family. My advice is to avoid taking major decisions on the night of the Full Moon itself and wait a couple of days,” he said.

The Main Energies of This Full Moon

Describing the overall vibration of Guru Purnima, Ashutosh summed it up in three words.

“Gratitude, completion and discipline. Shravana Nakshatra is ruled by Lord Vishnu, so the energy is protective rather than destructive. Since Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, even emotional moments will bring clarity and maturity. This Full Moon asks just one question — who guided you over the past year? Remember that person and express your gratitude. For the ego, this night may feel heavy, but for humility, it is a blessing,” he shared.

Lucky Zodiac Signs for Career and Financial Growth

Ashutosh believes four signs could receive encouraging news related to career or finances.

  • Taurus (Vrishabha): Pending payments and approvals may move forward.
  • Leo (Simha): Recognition from seniors or mentors.
  • Scorpio (Vrishchik): Positive developments related to promotions, higher studies or overseas opportunities.
  • Pisces (Meen): New clients, creative projects or consulting opportunities.

“The week after Guru Purnima looks especially promising for Taurus. Leo may receive appreciation from influential people, Scorpio benefits from Jupiter’s blessings, while Pisces may attract exciting new opportunities. Even for the remaining signs, any charity or donation performed on this day is considered highly auspicious,” he said.

– Simple Remedies to Perform on Guru Purnima

Rather than recommending elaborate rituals, Ashutosh Clairvoyant believes sincerity matters the most.

He advises devotees to:

  • Offer respect and gratitude to their Guru, parents or teachers.
  • If possible, meet them personally or call them and offer a small gift or dakshina.
  • After moonrise, offer kheer as bhog and share it with someone in need.
  • Donate white items such as rice, milk, sugar crystals or white clothes.
  • Recite the Vishnu Sahasranama or Guru Stotra.
  • Write down one habit you wish to let go of and offer it symbolically at Lord Shiva’s feet on the first day of Sawan.

“The biggest remedy on Guru Purnima is expressing gratitude to those who have guided your life. No expensive gemstone can match the blessings that come from genuine respect and humility,” he said.

– Powerful Mantras To Chant

Ashutosh Clairvoyant recommends three mantras for Guru Purnima:

Guru Mantra

“Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu Gurur Devo Maheshwarah, Gurur Sakshat Param Brahma Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah.”

For Lord Vishnu

“Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.”

For Mental Peace and a Strong Moon

“Om Som Somaya Namah.”

“Chant these mantras with devotion rather than worrying about the number of repetitions. Eleven heartfelt chants carry more power than a thousand mechanical ones,” he advised.

– The Biggest Myth About the Full Moon

Ashutosh Clairvoyant also dismissed one of the most common misconceptions surrounding Full Moons.

“Many people believe a Full Moon brings negative energy, bad luck or that nothing new should be started on this day. That is completely incorrect. If Full Moons were inauspicious, our sages would never have chosen Guru Purnima, Sharad Purnima and Kartik Purnima as sacred festivals. Purnima itself means completeness, not fear.”

Ashutosh Clairvoyant concluded, “It is true that the Moon governs the mind, so emotions may become stronger. But the answer is not to fear the Full Moon. The answer is meditation, mantra and gratitude. The Moon is not your enemy — it is a mirror reflecting your inner state. Keep that mirror clean, and fear naturally disappears.”
