Music Has Been an Integral Part of Pallavi Chatterjee’s Life Since Childhood
Actress Producer Director Pallavi Chaterjee is a versatile artist. Apart from her talent in acting the Bengali actress is also a good singer. Sharing more on that Pallavi says,”I have learnt Classical Music from Ustad Sagiruddin Khan Saab and also from my Nani . I used to sing as a child and I love music in any form. The role of music in my life is extremely important, it’s a great source of stress buster for me.”
When asked about her favourite music composer she says,”It has to be R D Burman, anytime anywhere any genre – he is a genius. And He is my Guru in the world of music. Whether it’s his Hindi song or the Bengali ones he has showed his immense range. Any of his compositions can change my mood.”
Pallavi Chatterjee Reflects on Performing With Bappi Lahiri and Other Legendary Singers
In her long career Pallavi Chaterjee has also sung songs and performed in live shows. She adds,”I am not a professional singer but, I love music. For my sheer love for music I have done shows with a lot of veteran singers including Bappida (Bappi Lahiri) and have performed more than 500-600 shows in Bengal. I have sang for two albums “ Parashmoni “ ( Rabindra Sangeet ) & Folk Sutra ( Composed by 5 different Music personalities).” The actress who will be next seen in Nikhil Advani’s The Revolutionaries and in a Hindi film Shawlwala considers Asha Bhosle as her all time favourite singer.
