Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Nadaaniyan is now streaming on Netflix and I had by chance, watched the movie, which only made me regret my decision, but not without mixed feelings.
Here are the 10 things that came to my mind while watching Nadaaniyan!
- How does a film start with chaos but then becomes all about convenience and magically working things out? I mean, Khushi’s Pia convinced Ibrahim’s Arjun just like that? For a fake relationship? How?
- What exactly is this friendship where boy problems become such a deal-breaker, and trust is only until after there’s proof that one best friend has a boyfriend, which means she’s not going out with the other best friend’s CHILDHOOD CRUSH?
- Why are these influencers everywhere? They are encroaching every space there is, with no real talent, and only on the basis of random stuff that made them go viral.
- Nadaaniyan was supposed to sound like innocence in love but it turns out to be anything like that.
- How bad is bad acting and how do you get even a Dia Mirza to be so OTT that it’s annoying?
- Could the dialogues BE any worse?
- Why do films on OTT platforms need to have songs? Didn’t we get rid of those for good?
- Love stories have become so complicated and compromised in films and TV shows, it just feels like we’re better off with K-dramas.
- It takes a lot to make even a romantic hate your rom-com!
- Someone in Bollywood needs to take the onus on themselves and make a good romantic drama!
Seen Nadaaniyan yet? You probably shouldn’t if you haven’t yet!
